Obi are sashes for kimono which are tied in an ornate knot in the back. These are complex brocade or tapestry weaves using silk (occasionally non-silk for strength) and often metallic threads for dazzling effects. We sell two types of obi, fukuro and maru. They make extraordinary wall hangings or table runners.
