I love Japanese kimono because I grew up in Japan where my mother taught Japanese dance and wore kimono all the time. She taught me about the labor intensive techniques that made her kimono so beautiful. Many of these techniques, like yuzen dying, are found only in Japan. We would like to share these handmade fabrics with the rest of the world.
